Hi! I'm Kirti, a Business Analytics, Finance, and Law & Society student at the McCombs School of Business, UT Austin.

 

I began my own small business in high school: KIT by Kirti, a bullet journal business to spread my creativity amongst peers. Since then, I’ve worked for 3 female-founded startups (spanning consumer goods, fintech, and economic development sectors) and funds through Girls Into VC (supporting immigrant investors). Empowering female entrepreneurs and contributing to their communities is what drives my business education and career. 

 

As an analytics major, I’m incredibly passionate about using data—combining it with my love for journalism and 8+ years of newsroom expertise, I founded the Data Department at The Daily Texan, UT’s student-run newspaper and the most awarded college newsroom in the US. I’ve been fortunate to contribute to journalism and design staffs in multiple roles, including previously serving at the Double Coverage (Football) Editor for The Texan, Head of Design for The ATX Review, a designer for BurntX Magazine, and a freelance journalist. 

 

For the past 3 years, I’ve been working on a passion project with the Business, Government, and Society Department at McCombs and as a Data Intern for The Voice Network—analyzing visibility and pricing solutions across the global cocoa supply chain.
