Stemming from my curiosity about the global chocolate industry's illegal and unsustainable aspects, I proposed and directed a research project as an undergraduate researcher at McCombs. With guidance from the Business, Government, & Society department, I research technological advancements and pricing solutions that can increase visibility across the cocoa supply chain.

I was nominated to present at the 2023 Geography Symposium at the Jackson School of Geosciences, invited to speak at the 2024 Amsterdam Chocoa Festival with The VOICE Network, and presented at UT's 2024 and 2025 Research Week Symposium. My work is currently focused on the EU's new deforestation legislation addressing cocoa production, and blockchain-based payments for financial transparency.

This is an ongoing project - no issue as complex as child slavery, deforestation, and economic relations can be solved without some trial and error. I would appreciate any feedback or tips!
